Q. What do you do when you are in some big trouble and have no way out of it?
A. You either pray to God or you turn on the computer, log on to the internet and just GOOGLE your way out.
Google is not a problem solver or even a solution arena, it’s just a simple search engine with complex algorithms that work hard to provide you the right direction/guide you to your solution. Since the turn of the century, Google has been widely regarded as the best and the simplest of the search engines out there. Its popularity is such that it is seen in the company’s annual revenues, which show signs of profit even in the time of such an economic slowdown, not to say that Google is American and is IT-based.
When the duo of Hanna-Barbara ran their creative minds, the world got Scooby doo and the catchphrase “Yabba-Dabba-Doo!” So when the GEEKY duo of Larry Page and Sergey Brin ran their technical brains, the world got GOOGLE and the rest is history. Google, primarily a search engine has expanded vastly in directions multiple and has given birth to many daughter companies like ADsense, ADwords, Google Maps, Google Earth, Gmail, also acquiring many websites like YouTube, Orkut, Blogger etc. It also has its presence in the software industry which has given us software’s like Google chrome, Android OS and other Google LABS applications that have expanded the possibility of the use of internet.
“Google is a complete package, a guide, a SAVIOUR to all your problems on and offline”
Google, Non-Technically speaking has been into the industry since more than a decade now and has gone through various transformations; significantly the logo has always remained the same, except for it changing on special occasions like the Independence Day or other regional or international festivals, that show the companies cause toward a more friendly environment, which Google has very well incorporated with its unofficial tagline and work mantra – “don’t be evil”. This very approach towards the masses has helped Google become more popular than many of its competitors and it has thus become the most used home-page and why not? Many dictionaries today have the word “Google it” which they claim is now a synonym for the word “search”
Ease of use, friendly environment and simple looks apart, Google is more than just visuals, when you see the amount of time it takes, probably sum fraction of a second, it’s hard to believe that it has actually given you a billion search results already. With more than a million search queries to be processed each day, this call of duty has prompted Google to equip itself with the most sophisticated of the technical instruments and the latest of technology, so much that it easily handles the 1 Petabyte of approximated user data that it receives every single hour
Google can easily earn more through their ads if they know the needs of their target audiences. Thus incorporating the right advertisements at the right time for the right person will only result in – “Perfect Advertisement”, and that alone is enough to satisfy the company’s monetary needs.
So the next time you find yourself in the middle of some grave problem and you find that God is seemingly busy to pay attention to your prayers, work out your fingers over the keyboard and just type in your query at google.com, surely it won’t be a waste of time and who knows you might just be lucky. For more on Google, just try to Google it.
